After preventing a developer from building 130 homes on the Mif Albright golf course, we learned that our Charter was not strong enough. City Council still had the power to build private homes on parkland by trading it for less desirable land. We set out to pass a Charter amendment ensuring that the people get to vote on any disposal of parkland.
