City Council Needs to Join 5 Bay Area cities challenging new ABAG numbers!

“There has recently been discussion of an alternative way of counting housing units that the City of Alameda and other Bay Area cities will be allocated, which would greatly reduce Alameda’s allocation from 4,900 units to 3,252 units. The lesser unit number is arrived at via the Plan Bay Area 2050 Growth Baseline methodology.”
Trish Spencer, former Mayor of Alameda

The attached letter is from the mayors of Danville, Dublin, Livermore, Pleasanton, and San Ramon to the Executive Board of Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG).  Alameda Citizens Task Force encourages the  Alameda City Council to join these mayors in their appeal to change the way the ABAG allocations are arrived at.
